Not content to be frozen still, this snowman can shake and swivel. Prints in place with an integrated ball joint.

I printed the snowman with .2mm layer height, 2 shells, 10% infill.

It's designed to print without supports. The ball joint should move freely without needing to break anything away.

when my printer finishes the first ball of the snowman my printer always knocks it off any suggestions

Same happens to me :S
Any ideas?

All i did was make the print a better resolution from.3 layers to.1 layers and slowed the print dow to half speed and got it to print

Hey, thanks! Will give that a try :)

Tell me if it works

How long does this take to print?

I made these with my special education class, they loved them! We made them in 2 different sizes and colors. Thank you!

some of our snowmen got born paralyzed - their ball joint jammed with ooze (badly calib printer) - in such cases we applied chemotherapy of about 20ml of acetone poured from the bottom . then rapid rehabilitation is needed - lot of excercise for the snowman until acetone evaporates completely.

The picture on Thingiverse's front page looks like it's made from T-glase, which is what I'm testing out now. I know what I'm going to test with it next!

So how do you get the inner ball not to stick to the outer one while printing?!

I guess I have to print it and watch!

The clearance is just enough to have movement but not enough for it to pop out

amazing! just printed 4 of these in a row!

It's designed to print without supports. In fact, any supports would likely jam it.

If you are printing with Afinia make the Support at 10 degrees and it barely prints anything at all. Snaps right off and no jamming. Too bad you can't have no support what so ever with their software.
