Your paint job is outstanding!!! Could you recommend any tutorials or techniques that you used in finishing your pieces? I've spent a lot of time making my board and really want it to look good, but I've never had a lot of luck painting mini-figs....

Thanks. I don't really do anything special. I painted some miniatures back in the day and watched the "Hot Lead" video to get some ideas of how to do some things. Dry brushing really helps a lot to highlight and differentiate details, so if that is something you aren't doing, it can help a lot.

Although I really like your magnet design, there is room to improve. If you put 2 magnets on each side, for example the left with + polarization and the right with -, you can connect any side of the game to any side.

Can you make a version like that?

I can make such a version. I don't like the idea of doubling the number of magnets used, but I would certainly be better in a number of respects.

Added a 2 magnet version. See remixes.

I'm looking to make a Catan Board and this is a great idea! Thanks!

There are no connecting pieces. Magnets are placed in the holes on each side and that's what holds them together. This basically just replaces the terrain tiles from the original thing (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1238980)

settlers catan style (magnetic)

Does this contain the print for the piece to connect the tiles?
