How did you get it to look so smooth? I know my printer is not the best but my prints never look like that.

Creator here. It's simply white PLA with no post-processing. I think the camera did it some favors on the smoothing. It looks like any typical 3D print surface finish in person.

It looks like ABS, also looks like he/she used Acetone vapor to smooth it. If its PLA, they may have used ethyl acetate vapor to smooth it.

Thanks most acetone ABS looks more shiny than that but they may not have left in there as long. I've never here of ethyl acetate before i'll have to look into it.

You can get Ethyl Acetate on amazon. Just make sure its pure. For vapor smoothing, I suggest either a rice cooker with strainer or fryer. I use a fry daddy fryer.

What size are the bearing holes designed at exactly?

Mine seems to be spinning backwards. Is it supposed to do that?

Kidding aside, any chance I can get the cad file? I'd like to do a remix using .25" bearings.

Hi there, awesome work i tried something similar but i messed it up really bad :) can you tell me how did you find the center mass, please? i tried everything and ended up nothing. I will be appreciated if you can tell me about it, so i can finish what i started long time ago :)

@vdincman, I recently posted a spinner with three different 'sculptures' on the perimeter http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2289179.

For mine, I used Fusion 360's 'center of mass' indicator on the object and just manually positioned the individual sculptures until i had a reasonable look and the COG was in the correct spot.

That's a simple way if you don't feel like doing the math :-).

This works great; I just posted my make. One note: when I printed this at 100% the bearings all fell out but printed at 99% the bearings are locked in tight.
