Another Raspberry Pi case:)
Super cool case for raspberry pi. It was all snap together for me. There is mounting holes and mounts if you want to pull it all together with (4) 3mm x 8mm screws.
Installation is simple, place the cover upside down just as modeled. Place the IO section of the board in first and make sure it is all the way forward. You can double check this making sure the IO pins are lining up with the pattern of slots. Once that side is installed you can gently press down on the hdmi/power side of the board. Once it is level you can gently compress it into the cover. Should get a small snap. The bottom also snaps into the 4 corners and along the notches. Add some bump-ons on the bottom to reduce sliding and add airflow.
I created slots for the IO port pins to stick out through the case, My goal here was to make it so if anyone wanted to use those ports you could just snip or file all the dividers as they need to be there for support during printing anyway.
Also I think there is a good chance if you don't use the fins you can feed the camera cable in through the slots. Not 100% sure on this as I don't use the camera port but there should be just enough room. I suppose you could just remove the front fin to access this port as well. The fins are made to be pressure fit so if you are having trouble with them being loose or too tight just change the thickness of the fin to suit your needs. You should have to force them in so they stay in place.
I did get a little droop in the main body where the fins go but hard to see once the fins are installed.
As always I want to see those makes!
1/10/17 - I noticed after my 3rd print of this I am getting a little binding above the cable attachment area between the hdmi/audio cord. I will update this soon but just so you know I will tweak this. I also plan on relieving out the cover along the base for the IO plugs as well. That seems to be binding very slightly. I will update in the next couple days but still a sweet case as is.
This has been updated and cleaned up.
Might need to remove a few droops from the center recess.
