! Notice !
Hello, this is Kris' wife.
Kris is hospitalised via a medical emergency team ambulance,
because he had an epileptic attack. (First time)
He was kept in an artificial coma on the intensive care service for more then 2 weeks.
he just got onto a regular room, and asked me to post this message.
He still suffers from brain problems.
It can take another few weeks before he can repost his DDA40X
sorry for the inconvience,
Some users are reporting that some parts are way to big, I'm still strugling with my health, so I'm unable to update the parts, but I found the problem, and an easy solution.
Somehow, things got mixed up between inches and millimeters. So, whenever you encounter a part that is to big, simple divide the scale of the part, but 2.54 ...
Sorry for the inconvenience ...
My wife does have a garden railroad, so I make a locomotive for her, from time to time :-)
This time it’s also an American diesel locomotive, namely an EMD DDX40A. (also called “Centennial” or “Big Jack”)
This is the largest diesel locomotive ever built. In 1:1 scale, it measures 30 meters, and does have 6600 HP under the hood ! So, in scale 1:32 it will be about 94 cm long !
I did put everything (STL and pictures) in a ZIP file, because it's a total of 94 files.
There are files included for the bogies, but I don't know if these will fit, because I became ill in the meantime and I still do not have wheels under my locomotive.
I also need to finish the electronics. (not only the motor to drive the loc will work, but also the fans, smoke, lights, sound-effects ... (R/C controlled)

Velleman K8200 - Prusa i3 - Ecksbot
all parts are designed to put them on the bed to print without any supports,
except the front- and back- buffers.
Sand the parts a bit if necessary, and glue together with superglue.
drawings and info gattered from all over the internet (to many to name here), design done in Solidworks, sliced in Cura, printed on a Velleman K8200, an Ecksbot and a Prusa i3.
(all 3 printers heavely modified)
