Summary

This battery port cover is based off the charger port that comes with the Mavic.. It is to protect the leads from things touching them and starting a fire.

I made it because I will be flying on many airlines with my Mavic, and wanted the ports protected just in case, and I am sure others will be taking this drone everywhere too.

.25 or finer

Notes:

I printed this at .15 the first time, and .25 for the rest. Resolution doesn't seem to matter if you have good layer adhesion.
Printed in ABS but probably most materials will work. The hard materials may be best, as it fits tight, and requires some force to remove it.

print it with the closed end cap side on the bed.

Perfect fit, Thanks!

Great design, printed better than Noel's (but Noel, thank you for the inspiration!)

Printed fine in PLA, no complaints with strength as my I3 is really pumping out impressive stuff.

Printed them for my 3 batteries and they fit perfect. Thanks

your welcome, glad it worked for you.

tried printing with PLA,,, tight fit,, closed end broken off when removing,,,
M3D printer,, trying Tough 3d Ink now (solid fill)..

Tough 3d ink.... a little wobbly to get it to fit..

tried ABS-r ,,, strong not breaking,,, needs filing to make it a nice easy fit !.

thx !

What's the difference between this one?

This design works here is the difference

That is good to know!

As far as I can tell, no internal tabs or prongs and no overhang on one side. My first design had that but it proved no benefit, and it can't accidently get hung up on anything.
