I designed a Death Star Echo Dot/speaker enclosure. The enclosure fits two 2-inch speakers. I used a cheapo Amazon Basics computer speaker kit because it is cheap ($11-14 depending on the day) and it comes with all the cords and circuitry.

This is a very simple project; nevertheless, I do have some instructions here:

When I load the bottom (either STL or OBJ) into Slic3r, it gives me something completely unprintable. The layers don't connect, and the top portion of the hemisphere is filled.

The top also is solid across the circle from 6.2mm to 9.5mm, then has nothing until 15mm. It's also not printable.

Did you print this with supports?

could you check the botto file ? The top prints perfect, however i had tried two times now to print the bottom, and allways have problems where rhe full bottom plate goes to the wall, the flament won`t stick to the bottom plate at the right side.

Which file are you having troubles with the STL or the OBJ?

on which printer do you print it?
Unfortunately it seems to big for my CTC.
Can you split the 2 parts to fit on smaller printbeds?

We have an entry-level da vinci mini. The print bed is 5.9 inch^3. What size print bed are you working with?

Good idea,
thanks for sharing ; )
