A low-profile key holder for stashing outside somewhere. My wife had our 2 year old lock her outside the house one evening when she stepped out to grab the mail while I was out of town, and had to wait 45 minutes while someone with a spare key came to unlock the door. Needless to say she put me to work to hide a key outside.
The lid is universal, and will work with any of the "boxes". Print the lid and any 1 of the 3 "boxes".
Included are 2 custom versions (Emtek and Kwikset) that can be used for those, or similar, styles. There is also an empty version that can be used for other styles, or anything you choose.
There are 4 holes for 4mmx2mm magnets.
STEP and Fusion 360 files are included if you'd like to customize them.
Supports are not required. The overhangs are at an angle and the only bridges are the short runs over the top of the 4mm magnets. You could probably get away with 0.20mm layer heights, but you'll lose some fidelity in the chamfered lip that retains the lid.
