This was a Christmas gift order for 2016. I didn't like any of the 3d meshes I found online, so I made my own. Made mods to allow the engine nacelles to tilt and the props to rotate.
Perfect for an 8 year old.
PRINT at 100% infill:
Used Rafts on all of the parts except for the fuselage halves
Used supports on the following:
Print x2 of the following
Main Landing Wheel
Print x6 of the following
On the prop spinner, ignore the holes for the props. You are going to have to eye ball it when attaching the props at 120 degree increments around the prop spinner.
Installing the wing shaft:
Made a slight challenge by mistake. Before joining the fuselage halves and adding the wing tips, first cut one end off of the wing shaft. Insert shaft into one wing tip, then the one half of the fuselage, then the other half, then the other wing tip. This will greatly help with proper alignment when joining the parts.
After all 4 parts are joined and the shaft is able to move freely, the engine nacelles can be attached.
Test fit the prop shafts to ensure they spin. Make adjustments as required. when joining the engine nacelle halves, both the prop shaft and wing shaft have to be inserted. The wing shaft is adhered at the nacelle. The prop shafts is joined to the prop spinner NOT the nacelle. (If you want the props to spin) I recommend attaching the nacelles in the forward position. This will help in making sure both engine nacelles are both aligned.
There might be some minor adjustments required to attach the vertical stab to the Horizontal stab of the fuselage.
Take your time. Good luck.
