PS: don’t try this unless you are sure of what you are doing! This is a major modification of the printer!
I have had a leapfrog printer for ages, it always bothered me that the dual extruders prevented me from using the full build plate.
This upgrade maximizes the usable size of the build platform.
This is only the bearing blocks and the x carriage. More parts Exstruder etc and new firmware are available on www.myminifactory.com/users/Teneopreto
New build volume is X-278 Y-335 Z-576 (-1,4cm height)
You will need 4 new slide bearings IGUS rjum-01-12.
You will need a E3D V5 hotend.
You will need to flash a new firmware file to the controller with the new build volume.
You will need a new longer x-axis timing belt.
You will need some 3mm threaded rod.
You will need to cut a notch in the left hand front-bearing mount for the y-axis.
You will need a smaller end bearing on the right hand bearing block.
Make sure you use the end chain for the power chain on the x-axis carriage or it can jam when printing in the rear right hand corner of the printer
