I adapted my 3D printer to use a laser, but I could not find software that would fit inside the letters.
Thanks to your post I solved this.
Thank you

My project:

Hi, pretty cool project! I am interested in knowing if it would be possible to engrave a 3D part. Let's move the Z axis while engraving. Instead of powering down the laser power, the Z axis would move in order to have the laser always at the same distance to the part.

Couldn't you just drop in a more powerful laser with the same setup? The one I linked below operates on 5v as well and only draws one amp. Would this work?

Great tutorial. Thanks! Got my parts and assembled them today. But the dimensions are wrong. Everything is much smaller than it should be.
I set the dimensions to mm (both in the document options an the plugin windows). Any idea why this happens?
By the way: I made a Laser mount for the A2 and plublished it to thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2449260

Laser Mount for Anet A2

So I got the laser you mentioned in your tutorial. Though I am a little confused. It has the TTL but what I want to know is what is it for. Do I have to hook it up. What do I hook it up to. What if I don't hook it up. Do I have to use the resistor things you mention in your tutorial?
