Dual mosfet mount for the Anet A8.

I have a write-up on my blog with links to all the required parts and wiring diagram at: http://moderntoil.com/?p=850

-Doesn't interfere with USB connection
-Mosfet boards mount securely with screws
-Integrated stand-off's
-Does not block top hole
-Minimal size
-Marked "Hotend" and "Bed"

Holes for PCB's are sized for 'small' PC screws (M3 x 1/4). The kind used to mount optical drives in a case. They will self-tap right in easily, and hold the boards snug. Other small screws of similar size would work fine.

The top frame screw hole is oversized slightly to accommodate for irregularities in frame pieces.

I have a genuine Anet A8 and this part does not fit my A8, nor the mosfets as these seem not a standard size.

If it doesn't fit your printer, or the mosfets, and you are using the mosfets linked from my blog article, is it possible you printed the part scaled to a different size by accident?

clearly used other mosfets as I did not know these do not have a standard size, but that is not a big issue. What is strange is that my A8 seems to have other dimensions, allthough it was a genuine A8 from Anet.

Had same issues with other parts: frame-brackets ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2144749 ) did not fit neather.

I'll have to redesign them myself.

Anet A8 T-corner remix

Fit my A8 and mosfets perfectly.

Made one of these. I used #4 self tapping screws with #6 serrated washers. Worked great for mounting the MOSFETs to the holder. I used 2 M3x18 screws with nuts from the kit to attach to the frame. Easy design to print.

The only thing I can even REMOTELY complain about is that I had to splice in wires because the included control leads with my MOSFETs wouldn't reach this mount. Other than that, awesome little design, nice and out of the way, and MOSFET control for bed and heater is WORLDS better than stock. Thanks so much for sharing this!

Had same issue with the control wire.
I rotated the mosfet and manage some how to connect it to the board pretty tightly.

Is there a case that can cover this and that main board?

I hoped to find here in the comments :(

Gonna make a remix with a hole in the middle to save plastic when printing.

An elegant solution that goes a step further with the embossed MOSFET locations.

Very nice.

I ordered fets then found this via blog post about your install. Like the mount. Going to print one. Thanks!!!

Screw size is: M3 x 1/4

I am printing this and will install mosfets soon, what size screws are needed for this?

Many thanks for the mount and the wiring write up! Hope this alleviates my "fire fears"...

are the "ctrl in" connections for the thermisters coming from the hot bed and hot end?

There's a wiring diagram in my blog post:

I just replaced the main board on my Anet A8, not planning on doing that again. I found this mount for dual mosfets, ordered a couple from Amazon.com so I could get them quickly and now they are installed. I will be ordering two more for the HyperCube I am building, don’t want to blow the new RAMPS 1.4 board I will be using with it. Thanks.
