Summary

I had to reshape a little bit the original to fit the blades I have over here, with a little narrower shape an 3 slots, so neither the shape nor the hole for the screw was fitting.

I used Blender for reshaping. Scan the blade, put as a background image and working on orthogonal top view, edit the object selecting a moving the vertices to fit the blade, easy and fast.

The design is very nice and it works like a charm.

Can you give the make and model of your blades. My Stanely blades do not fit.

thanks

Thanks, the original model works much better in the USA. However, it is NOT a drop in use I had to grid one side just a little.

I am using Stanley brand model 11-921 which you can get via home depot, Walmart, and Lowes,

Perhaps some dimensions if you can for top and bottom with and height for your blade you use?

The Stanley 11-921 is lower blade=61.36mm upper strip=43.28mm and height of the blade height 19mm.

Hi, Lower 5,2cm, upper, 3,1cm height 1,8cm

Sorry, I don't really know the model or brand, I don't have the label and the only thing on them is "Made in Germany", did you take a look at the original design: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1868193 ? maybe that fits with yours. I don't know if those are different standards from Europe and USA or what. Anyway the model is quite simple and easy to readapt.

Very nice, I would add to pins in 2 of the 4 holes in the blade to hold the blade in place.

That's a good point. As I was just readapting the original design I didn't realize it.
Actually the screw is enough because the only pressure is against the screw, not pulling, but it could be great, putting those pins with some kind of clip effect, to avoid using the screw and bolt, definitely I should try :)
