This is a new spin to the beloved Toby-X using some cool new concepts introduced by Dquad Obsession (full credit for this concept goes to the designer of the Dquad Obsession). The center plates should be printed in either ABS, PLA + or PETG. My personal choice is PLA + and I use the THUGH middle plate for extra strength. The arms should not be 3d-printed, instead use the compatible ZMR-250 carbon fiber arms. For best results I printed the oval parts in TPU at 120% extrusion multiplier, 3 walls all around and 30% infill with supports.

UPDATE:

new v2 version adds a fourth standoff for extra rigidity and so it's compatible with any D-Obsession accessories, for anyone interested in making accessories or mounts the last 2 standoffs are set 20mm apart at an angle of 30 degrees with respect to the bottom plates. Also included in the files, a simple vtx antenna mount designed by DanThompson880.

I said that I report back when I have flown this frame. Well I think I'm in love :D Love the easy desing and was suprised how tough the frame is. But sadly my emax remix isn't so tough. ZMR arms had big hit and emax verion not so big.... -> http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/922/44yFMd.jpg Need to print more zmr versions :D

I was equally surprised to how strong the oval is, the best part to me is that it absorbs some of the impact and reduces the potential damage on other components. I think the issue with the emax remix is that the plates don't secure the arms enough, an option would be to make the plates larger and a bit thicker so the holes are not so close to the edges, it might look funny but at least it will resist crashes better.

Yes holes are to close to the edge, and emax arms are little too short. So in cras there is no support like zmr arms (they go deeper inside the plates). If the plates are bigger, i think it's not good solution. More drag on forward flight.

Glad you like it! Printed in TPU at 120% extrusion multiplier yields a ridiculously strong and unbreakable canopy. I'm thinking of a future v2 so please send me any feedback so we can make this even better.
