Nope — no need for rafts or supports. Most printers can do sphere-shaped overhangs without them, and this is just a sphere with holes and brackets, so should print just fine.

The STL appears problematic. The output I have was very different from the above photographed item. I used a modelrepair service and afterwards I was able to print something similar. Pegs were a mismatch though. I am very new to 3D printing so I am unsure what isn't working.

I have a few recommendations. It would be nicer if the pegs weren't a group of 4 or at least were spaced further. I had cases where there were slight residue between the two pegs.

Also it would be great if all objects (2x domes & 4x pegs) were in the same STL object allowing easy re-size in a uniform manner.

My cat outright loves this thing.

My cats love these. Pegs have held firm without the need for glue. I scaled these up to 2" and 3", but at that point you need to scale the pegs a little differently. When scaling up to the ball 2 times (2" ball) I scaled the pegs to 2.08 times. And when I scaled up to 3 times, I scaled up the pegs to 3.1 times. Again, this provides a nice tight fit that will still allow you to pull them apart if you want to change what's inside.

These are also really tough. One of my dogs loves to destroy cat toys, but has been unable to destroy these. I have printed these in both PLA and ABS, both with great results.
