You printed this in PLA? Wouldn't the spring part break from being PLA? I thought you had to use a flexible type of filament for stuff like that such as PETG.

Its definitely not the best choice of material, but it does work for light headphones and as long as the spring is not overly stretched. It definitely won't last as long if it keeps getting moved around. I definitely think ABS or other less brittle material are a better choice.

Is it OK to use PETG?

I don't see why it wouldn't be ok to use PETG. As long as it's strong enough to withstand the weight of your headphones.

I've only printed the head phone holder in ABS and PLA, and I don't have any experience with printing in PETG. I cant see any reason that it wouldn't. if it does work id love to hear how it went.

This is great. I agree, cable management would be a good addition. A little clip for a charging cable. Also, the bottom bit needs to be angled up a little bit, not parallel to the shelf. When the spring is engaged it pushes the holder down towards the floor, giving it a negative slope.

I like it, could you make it rounded at edges and also a little rounded where the headphone rests?

If you add an option or something for cable management this would be the best headphone stand for desk around

I'm only just starting out with 3DP, so the extra info is a must for me.
so big thx Paul
