This is a modification I did to plans for a wooden rubber band winchester rifle, you were supposed to cut it all out of layers and layers of 4mm wood.
I have a cnc, so to hell with manual labor.
What really prompted me to make one was the cnc series by ThisOldTony, in his last video you can see he's made his own aluminium version. Unfortunately he could not be reached for comment or sharing of his plans. So I made my own, well 3 for my niece and nephews.
You will need:
Some 5mm wooden dowels, I used flower pot sticks.
Some 16mm rods for the barrel.
Rubberbands of sorts
The whole thing ended up being maybe 10% bigger than the original, 2/3 size would better fit children. Also, sometimes it snap backwards if you're not careful loading, which means you get a rubberband in your eye if you're aiming it. The scope helps a little.
The original design comes from this website: www.rbguns.com
I've emailed the owner of rbguns.com twice over the last 3 months asking if it would be ok to share my version of his pdf plans.
While I have heard nothing back, best I can do is tell you to go and download his original plans from his website here: www.rbguns.com and ofcourse share my plans and remove them upon further notice.
One last thing, I'm not liable if you shoot your eyes out, or someone elses, have fun.
And as always, I have included the original 123d file.
