@sitts314 could you upload two files with base and the body split up? It for assembly after and only made two impressions.
Explanation in the picture.

Thanks.

Sure thing. I've been meaning to release a v2.0 of this guy for a while, but I've been busy. I'll definitely try to incorporate your request.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!! So much.

Yeah, why not hollowing the head so we can place a candle there too? :)

I will try to add that as an optional configuration.

Excellent model but can I just ask why the arms are different sizes?

Haha! Good question. This was one of my first Blender models. I was only going to make one so I wasn't worried about easy assembly. They will be symmetrical in the next version.

Honestly it makes it a bit more unique.. :)

Thank you. It was one of my very first creations in Blender. I'm glad you like it!

superbe, merci de votre travail :)

Dommage que dans la tète on ne peu pas mettre de bougie. ;)

beautiful, thank you for your work :)

Too bad in the head is not put little candle. ;)

Wonder full modeling. I am printing one right now. I do have one suggestion. Would it be possible to separate the two heads to separate files as well.

Just wondering, is it possible for the PLA to warp from the lit candles or should it be fine. I want to be sure before I light the candles for dinner.

I have not had any problems burning tea candles in my PLA version (the candles with metal around them to keep the wax contained).
If for some reason the flame actually touches the plastic, it could melt, though.

i have a question for the editor. can you upload the body in 2 seperate .stl files it doesn't fit on my robo

I just added "Lumiere_body_left.stl" and "Lumiere_body_right.stl".

Do these work for you?

great work! I like the alignments discs, nice idea.

...Just re-read your post. I didn't intend the discs to have anything to do with assembly, they're just there to reduce warping. I cut them off when it's done printing. Some people call them "ears", I think.

Now that you mention it, some sort of alignment guides might be nice for assembly. I'll look into it.
Thanks.

well, now that they're anti-warping discs, I like them even more.

Thanks. Enjoy.

Here's a question:

Can you post an editable file for this? I need to either print it at half scale, or import the .STLs to break the model up into smaller pieces that fit my printer. Only problem is that importing STLs into SketchUp makes for a very messy object.

I'd also like to hollow out the arms for wiring and make cavities in the hands and head for LEDs, as well as a Arduino-nano-sized control board...

Thanks again for a great model.

Sorry for the delay. ...Forgot to upload he .blend file until just now.

Sure. I'll post the original .blend file. Check back this evening.

Glad you like it.
