Update2: I tweaked the design a bit so it's taller. The bottom of the Switch now sits about a half inch higher off the table than before. This allows more room for the charging plug to prevent strain on the cable.
Update: I have added a new center piece called Switch Stand Center Foldable. This piece has two hinges of differing height, which allows you to fold the arms inward. The center piece is also a bit wider than the original, so the arms can fold completely within the width of the center.
This portable Zelda-themed charging stand is the perfect solution to a common issue with the Nintendo Switch. This stand features:
-Fold-flat design that fits into the same footprint as the Switch, meaning you can pack it into your travel case with your Switch!
-60 degree angle gives ideal viewing position
-Play your Switch while charging! Charging cable can be run through the front or out the back of the stand
-Wide base gives it a lot of stability
-Simple three-piece assembly. The hinge pins are made from 1.75mm filament. Just cut a piece and slide it through the hinge holes. Can also be disassembled by sliding the filament back out.
Note: Cut the hinge pin filament at an angle to help it slide through the hinges. You will likely need a pair of pliers to feed it through.
I printed this at 0.2mm layer height and 30% infill. I recommend a brim so the corners don't lift up during printing.
