Will this work on the i3 MK3?

I am not sure the design works by attaching to the bed frame and wedging under the build plate I believe it will still work for the i3 MK3 maybe just quickly print the arm only and let people know if it worked or not. Thx.

I’m still waiting on my Mk3. Once I get it in March, I’ll print this and let you know how it goes. Ty

Thanks, I am also waiting for my upgrade kit from MK2S to MK2.5 just over 2 months now :(

Why did you remix this? The original appears to allow the full 200mm bed height and full z calibration.

Hi Redmonkey

I have modified the bracket to the dimensions you have given me 33x8 I have added additional tolerance for clearance plus I have also increased the wall thickness slightly to give it extra strength with the larger light fitting let me know how you get on also feel free to take the file and do a remix if you wish.

Just thinking we may have to modify the design in increase the overhang distance by 20mm due to the larger light fitting being used I believe this may hit the extruder otherwise let me know if you would like me to do this additional modification.

here we are, this is a strip model from Scandinavian origin, I think, any way the measurements are in the picture. Thanks ever so for your prompt response. Have searching for some time for the right fitting, there are some out there, but are rather chunky. Yours has a smart, shall we say, footprint, and is far enough out of the carriage when printing high things.

Thanks for quick response.Let me get back to you on the dimensions, Will include a photo of said led strip. At time of writing is around 0200 CET. I need shuteye.

hi Mark
I have some led strips from ikea, and they slotted in very nicely, i would like to modify the opening from what it is now and increase to say around 34 mm. Resizing is not an option because all measurements increase. What markwift has indicated i would echo.Have you got something like this in openscad? Nice piece of work.

The CAD files are in Pro Engineer so none of the parametric dimensions will export into openscad if you can do a hand sketch with dimensions I can easy edit the model for you and send you an STL file. Also maybe some dimensions of the light would help.

Hi Mark

The files original format is Pro. Engineer (Creo 3.0) if you would like me to send them to you please private massage me with your email address. I have also updated the project files to include a drawing with dimensions you may find this more useful to redraw in your CAD program of choice. If you have any more questions please feel free to contact me.

Much appreciated, thanks! I'll give it a shot in Fusion 360 :)

I'd like to adopt this for an LED of a different thickness and width, what format is the original design in? Thanks, Mark.
