How do you put this together?

I just used ABS cement but any glue would work

I want to print this as my kid keeps asking for it, but the locktop stl file seems to throw and error and when I think the errors are corrected, it tries to send the file to the printer but the printer does nothing...

Can you re-validate that particular stl file doesn't have errors?
thx

I added a File Lock_Top_2.5_verified and resolved an error I found so I hope this helps

If you do make this, please upload it so I can see!

yes, I will verify that part, I remember it giving me some hassle when I printed it.

I've been having trouble opening the "Key Holder" file. The other three part files open great and printed but that one part that makes the whole lock work wouldn't open keep getting an error message. Any help at how to open it. I tried re-downloading the files but still got this problem. Please help!

I'm very sorry @AngieKiri for the error. I believe it may have been Thingiverse but the new version uploaded should work.

You said this uses a specific key. Do you have the specs for said key?

specs are listed in the description!

key for antique lock

I do and I've been working on making a model of that for you guys! hopefully be done with that soon.

Great! Looking forward to seeing it!

Great painting skills. I would love to be as good as you ;)

thank you @luc_e! it's not as hard as it would seem! I started painting my prints only about a week ago! I just used some cheap brushes and some generic acrylic paint.
I did a mix of gold and black as a base coat and used a paper towel to rub on some gold to give it some shine. There are some great Tested videos with Adam savage that show some of these tips.
