Hello,

Thanks for this case. I have built this using a raspberry pi 3 and was wondering if this will work with it?

Thanks again

Hello, a raspberrypi will not fit into the case i think. It's made for the CHIP so there is not a lot of room.

Also: The Software of Outernet is made for CHIP. There is no recent RPI image.

regards,
Manuel

Thanks,

I just built mine using the available Raspberry pi image, so far so good. Good thing you replied, I was just about to send the files to the printer.

I measured the case in my CAD Programm and a RaspberryPI3 COULD fit. It will be realy tight, but it could work.

The max, dimension for the CHIP (or any other SBC) are 50x116mm. The max height is 20mm, so the pi must be smaller.

What kind of Antenna and SDR you are using?

regards,
Manuel

I'm using the patch antenna with a RTL-SDR v3 and an LNA. It was working well but appears the SDR dongle over heated. Have it unplugged and will try it again when I return. My ras pi has heat sinks so will have to measure.

I used the V3 for some Months and it was working fine. If you use the v3 you ahve even more room in the case. But because of the Patchantenna, you still have a 20mm limit in height when you remove the little stands for screws. Then it should fit when you have a adapter cable from the raspberrypi to the sdr.

Manuel

Dimensions are 15,3cm (6") wide x 13.6 (5.35") tall x 4.4 (1.73) thick

Hay you found them (before i was able to reply) :)
I forgot to mention them here (and in my blog post), i will add them shortly.
