Unfortunately the original Ultimaker radial fan is from crapy quality.
This thing replaces the whole cooling assembly.
Inspired by http://www.thingiverse.com/Sonarok/designs conformed to a more practical thing. You can use it with a 40mm fan and don't have to print extra feet. I've used a Noctua fan and messured 24dB(a).
Also Noctua provides all adapters you need to stick the 3-Pin Connector on your alsways on 12V port. (regular fan) Edit: It's an always on 19V (18.8) Port.
So you may want to use a 24V Fan. I soldered a voltage regulator on it...
Print all two parts
(opt) cut threads in the holes of the fanholder
Mount fan with M3x12mm
Screw the Parts with M3x6mm together.
