Summary

Lots of Nerf guns have a railing along the top that allows you to connect a small gun to a large gun. My sons asked for a connector to connect two large guns, so here it is.

Instructions

Just print it as-is and slide it onto the gun (see pictures). Model scale = 1 unit:1mm.

I am probably going to make one of these to attach a rough cut to make a nerf m4a1 grenade launcher attachment

I had issue with the two halves coming apart right after printing. Is there a trick to the print set up to have it print as a capital H instead of two back to back capital C's? Thanks.

Why is there no wedge coming off of it so the Nerf gun doesn't slide right off.
Otherwise, nice print.

The rails are considerably longer than the connector and vary by somewhat by gun model, so a wedge would probably either be too subtle to make a difference or too constricting. Instead I just went for a snug fit and there hasn't been any noticeable slippage. Still, that's the great thing about thingiverse - tweak to fit your needs. :)

finally someone is thinking like me

What did you use to slice the file? Slic3r refuses and claims there is no detectable layer?!? Thanks for your help!

dfb - in reply to HamOp

I used replicatorG (http://replicat.org/)http://replicat.org/) to slice it (modeled it in Blender, exported to STL, loaded in replicatorG, printed on original makerbot).

Thanks for the quick reply. I will give it a try.

This is great. You could either download the file for free, or buy one from Slydev.
