Just split the right hand side taking it from the print bed. The right side is not thick enough. Used my soldering iron on the split edge to weld it back in place. Added a bead of hot glue on the inside for some extra strength. Glued in the terminals and soldered them to the cheap eBay charge board. Works very well, thank you so much!

I agree, the right side is only one wall thick, which made it easier to insert the cable into the slot. The wall even being there is purely cosmetic since there are no big forces involved (at least with the springs i am using).
But i'm happy it works for you. :)

COOL! Thanks mate, testing the print now. I have a stack of these lithium charger circuits around the place, it will be nice to have a professional looking unit for a change.

That is why the TP4056 charging module is in there. It takes the 5 V from your USB and charges the 18650 with standard li-ion constant current charging. It's specifically designed for that application.
