Summary

The aim here is to create output for a laser cutter from my Polyhedra to OpenSCAD site. The output needs to distinguish between external lines to be cut and internal lines to be scored by engraving. In this approach, SVG is generated in OpenSCAD and output as text to the console.

see http://kitwallace.co.uk/3d/solid-index.xq for the web site To generate output, chose a solid, select net output, download and preview the generated OpenSCAD

The example nets are for a Rhombic Dodecahedron (Conway jc) and for a skewed version of this solid.

There are no tabs added yet, so joints will need to be glued or taped.

I'd be very interested to hear from anyone who uses these files to laser cut eg cardboard.
