The pieces are very elegant but the one for lightning connector is much to thin and braked just after printing (using Z-HIPS).
Too bad

Did you tried printing it at 100% infill?

I printed the USB and Lightning protectors this morning using SainSmart Flexible TPU at 15mm/s with hotend temp 200℃, Bed Temp 70℃, no supports or adhesion. It printed perfectly. The issue I ran into was it was too flexible given the limited wrap on the open side. This could be addressed to great effect if the open side gap were reduced (for flexible material printing only) to 1mm maybe even 0.5mm. This change would provide sufficient wrapping of the plugs as to prevent slippage due to material twisting, after installation. I'm happy to complete this remix if you you can provide me with the source cad files. If you're interested, please get in touch via Twitter DM @hillct
A very cool design... Thanks for the great contribution.

would it protect the cable if the material is not flexible?

Yes, it helps the cable from snapping at the joint. I use PLA material and it works fine for me.
