Larry Perry, A buddy of mine helped me move into a position of Development Manager for a State entity, as a thank you, I made him this desk name plate for his office. I was pretty happy with how it came out. He opted to not go with the 8mm smooth rods that the Solid works design files shows. I doubt this is useful for anyone else except other State of TN employees but it a great concept with the no glue approach. Everything is pressed fit.
I also included the info in a .txt file that has the info about pausing for the color change using Simplify 3D. I printed at .2 mm layer height and paused at layer 8. You could get a little bit of a neat "raised letter" effect if you pause at layer 9 with one layer of white on the lettering.
Mirror the Ends.stl to get the other end.
The name plate is blank for ease of reuse.
