I really like this set up, but where can you find the base? have people just been designing their own or is there another file?

added explanation in Thing Details Summary where you can find them.
If you made one please upload there - thanks!

I tried a 50% scaled version - the gears did not engage - did yours work?

The design is wrong, it cant work. I made my own. The threads are wrong.

Engage - No, i used the 50% to check on the new threads not for the gears. The best would be a remix for real gears.

Hey, where did you get the knurled knob for the vise? I dont see it in the remixes for the original file, thanks!

I uploaded them, normal and longer XL version. I changed the knob part, the rest is the same.

I love the mini vise in the jaws of the bigger vise! Did you just scale it down for the mini one?

The threaded rods together with the main gears are designed to work without sanding.
The other parts i did not touch and i agree with the sliding jaw part.

I printed a version of this named, "Yet Another Vice" in PLA on a Dremel (2nd Model). I had to print the 2 loose gears at 104% because of the threads, then sanded their thickness (width). The Face guard attached to the far side of the base needed to be printed at 98% to fit. Sanding the bottom sliding rail was the most hastle. When done, it is awesome - Print one!

Thankyou for sharing. Mine is busy printing as we speak. That is the only reason why I haven't tried to print this as yet :)
