This is some sort of mini arcade controller suitable for Arduino/Raspberry projects.
The joystick works better than i expected, a full 8-way stick.
Tested playing Street Fighter 2 in a PC through a USB encoder using Arduino Pro Micro board. I can even launch Hadokens!!!
See the pictures below for the construction process and some tips
Designed in 123DDesing (include the 123dx file so you can adapt to your needs)
Hope you find it useful.
Have fun soldering!!
Use a resolution of 0.1 for small parts.
0.2 resolution it's ok for the controller case.
Materials and the gamepad.stl part
Solder the ground line (be careful with the plastic)
Extract the 4-way buttons
Wiring the 4-way buttons
Using thermoretractil always recomended
Put the 4-way buttons and solder the other two buttons.
Thermoretractil again for a strong fit
I used some male pins to solder the wires (only one ground for all the six buttons).
Joystick parts (cap, body and top from left to right)
Screw the M4 bolt/nut in joystick_body.stl
Insert into gamepad_top.stl and put the joystick_cap and joystick_top.stl
Screw and enjoy
