In the USA the same Dremel Diamond Tip is... Dremel 9929 Engraver Diamond Point Bit.
Thanks, was going to design one then thought "I bet someone already did" and you did.
It does work... I got the dremel engraver off eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Authentic-Dremel-Carbide-Point-Tip-Engraving-Bit-9924-1-8-Shank/253451781922?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
I used it on Acrylic so far and the finish was perfect! TY for a great design!
Does it damage the cameo? Can you teach some finished piece with this system?
Does it work on Cameo 3?
Thank you ;)
Hi Manuel,
I actually haven't gotten around to using this yet (I haven't needed it for my current project)
I don't think it will damage the cameo - other people seem to be using much heavier tools without issue (see http://thevinylcut.com/etching-metal-with-your-silhouette-cameo-machine/?doing_wp_cron=1499709870.4992330074310302734375 )
The software support would likely be better on a Curio, check out the following video for infills on a cameo 3: https://www.screenr.com/AkZ7
regards,
Michael
