May I ask for 123d file or something other format to modify your proposal of spinner by adding holes and improving holding mechanism ?

How does this switch on/off? It'd be neat to have a removable battery design.

The battery holder PCBs have switches, so the batteries can stay in and the device can be turned off.

Hello FooldDelight,,
I just got an idea. You can set your slicer to just have one layer on bottom and top, so if you add those two layers on your model it will better to enclose the LEDs and I think it won't be a problem to see the light... Could you make a second version to try it ?
Otherwise it's a very cool fidget, the best on-board electronics, low hat :)

can you please clarify which size of bearings do we need, will it work with 608zz bearings ?

8mm core, a 22mm outer diameter and a 7mm width (normal skate bearings): 608zz are perfect.

Can we get the OSHPark board?

Disregard...already uploaded their board from their site...very cool build man!

$5.85 for 3 boards..I'm sure a 2032 battery holder can be gotten in bulk to make my own

Which one are you talking about on OSHpark?

Would there be any way you could remix this to allow the bearing to sit inside the housing with a minor lip covering the outer race? I would like to seal the unit shut to ensure the bearing doesn't fall out. There have been many reports of bearings falling out of spinners and children swallowing them. My daughter really wants one and I would like to print one and seal the bearing in with no chance of it escaping. I am terrible at modeling.

Hi, I've updated the design to hold the ball bearing in place by adding a skirt above it. The center pegs now also clip together.

This is the best LED spinner I've seen yet, and way better than my sad attempts. Could you share a link to where you found your flashing LEDs? Found the battery holders on amazon and possibly found the LEDs on aliexpress, but one can never be sure.

Thanks a lot for your nice words! You can find the blinking rainbow LEDs I used on aliexpress.com.
