This looks like exactly what I need. Thanks for the design! Is there any chance you could post a wiring diagram or photo? Is the button always lit on the one you made?

Hi Mr EW. Thank you. Yes, the LED is always on - I can't remember the exact layout but do know that I have it wired to a 433MHz wireless doorbell extender. I think it was a Friedland Libra+ unit IIRC.

It is set up with the LED and a series resistor across the switch so when you push the switch it shorts out the LED so it goes off and the current increases from maybe 10mA to whatever is required to trigger the bell. I think you could probably do similar with any doorbell that will allow about 10mA to flow when not triggered.
