very nice design but I waiting for the m12 bolt version :)

iam not shure why you didnt design it to fit the shaft of the tap!?!?
I must remix this ^^

Great tool. I think I found a combination that works well: 7mm tap connected to drill (instead of tap wrench). The key is to always make sure the bolt is turning, keep a nut on both ends to position the hobbing in the correct part of the bolt, and then as the drill is spinning, slowly push the tap farther and farther down onto the bolt.

could u tell me wich kind of tap u've used?
i got DIN 371 Grulo machining tap and it couldnt worked. just show me if u can.

I've printed this and fitted the 608 bearings but my tap will not fit is there a brand of tap you can recommend that will fit ?

It is a very useful tool
I'm building one.
I'll let you know how it works

Does a 8mm tap is good for 1.75mm fillament ?

Yes, it should work fine. I had that for my previous setup running for one year!

It should be said, that not every M8 tap has a 8mm thick body. Keep that in mind else your tap will wiggle wobble.

This deserves a video.

I made this and I amazed how good the bolts come out, good work

Yey! I have one running from 6 months and no signal of wear.

i converted it to use with m5 tap.. the problem i am facing is that the groove formed is ecentric.. i tried on 3 bolts but all of them come deeper on one side and shllower on the other side.. any idea why

I have no idea, sorry. Did you tapped more than 1 turn? I normally do around 10 turns !
