Great design but the hinges broke after opening it about 2 times. Also, you should make it harder to get the hinge apart in the back so there isn't so much separation.

Thanks for the comment.
I assume that the reason the hinge broke was from the orientation of the bottom piece when on the print bed. I did this twice with my Super Magical Chest. The reason I cut the bottom piece in half was so that you could print the hinge in a way that it won't break. The bottom of the chest I made has two parts glued together. I recommend that you orient the the bottom piece so that the the split in the middle is parallel to the build plate. The orientation of the layers will strengthen the hinge. (but it means more support material)

I will check some of the hinge dimensions for you.
Let me know if this helps.
Also if you try this and you still think the hinge is to far apart in the back I would like to know.
Thanks.

your work is awesome!!! You should make a draft chest next!!!! Please keep making 3d models for Clash Royale!! You do great work!

Thank you. I am currently working on the giant chest. But I can look into doing the draft chest after that.

what kind of 3D printer do you have?

I don't have a 3D printer of my own yet. I have just bought filament and messed around on my college's printers. So I have been using Rostock Max printers.

hi, what is the correct way to print the top part? looks like has narrow parts and needs supports...cheers!

I oriented the part so that the top of the chest was straight upwards when I printed it. It used a lot of supports (from build plate only) but it turned out good. I made the part also with supports so the front doesn't fall off when printing it this orientation. If you find other ways of printing this that work better, you can use those ways too.

Hey nd18r!

Do you have the full solid bottom to print? I want to try and make this be a complete snap-together.

What do you mean by complete snap together?

I finished uploading it.

Hi, awesome collection of Chest! i want to know what do you use for paint? thank you and awesome work

I first used acrylic paint to get all the colors. Then I used a clear coating of some spray paint I found (that said it stuck to plastic/ABS) to prevent the acrylic paint from chipping. I'm sorry I don't remember the exact spray paint I used.

So you painted the chest? It was not a multicolored filament?

Yes. It was a true red Hatchbox ABS filament.
