25 de abril bridge in 3D
We are the 7th E class from Agrupamento de Escolas Venda do Pinheiro, near Lisbon. We've made a project on anti-seismic structures in Portugal, focusing on bridges, specefically the 25 de Abril bridge, over the Tagus River. This project was created in several classes: ICT for learning 3D modeling; Portuguese Language for researching and information literacy and selection on the school library; Science class to learn about earth's internal structure, seismisc faults and seismic causes.
We've created a 3d model of the 25 de abril bridge, over the tagus river. We've used Sketchup Make for the model of the bridge and Maps to STL to generate the 3D map of the river span between Alcântara and Almada. The final project was assembled in Tinkercad and 3D printed on an beethefirst printer.
