Make your MBS Atom 90 mountainboard fully electric!
This has been through many revisions to make it easy to just bolt everything on to the existing bolt holes on an Atom 90 mountainboard. Works like a champion! Would work even better with 2 motors and ESC's (1 for each rear wheel).
Let me know what you think!

Added .par and .stp files

Update: Aug 25, 2014

STLs are now repaired. Added left and right motor mounts.

Added Wheel Insert Inside For 54T Sprocket - courtesy of Mikko R!

Add a Turnigy SK3 motor, some LiPos or LiFe batteries, sprockets and chain, an ESC, and a remote control and you're electric.
Print at 50% or higher infill with ABS (Edit print this as 90% or higher infill. I just broke the 50% one haha). Trust me on this one. I've broken probably 5 on these that were PLA or 25% infill.
Oh, an don't bother trying to print with support material. It's way easier to just print without support material and clean up a couple little imperfections.

really cool... any tests on how fast and how far it goes ?

How long the 3d printed parts are lasting on your skate?

So the Motor Mounts need to be printed out of Nylon to last. I used Taulman bridge and they never broke on me. ABS and PLA ones did.

But for the wheel inserts, PLA worked fine at ~50% density.

Hope this helps!

How much total to print an ship to Colorado Springs? Have you ever shot a video on the wiring and explanation. I really liked the photos and detail.
I think for beginners a video explaining the process of wiring would be incredibly helpful if someone wanted to expand on their project.

It would be $90 for a full set of parts (parts for a 2 motor build). I have to print the parts pretty high density which adds some cost. I am currently starting development of the next generation of parts though if you aren't in a hurry. I plan on machining them from aluminum.

Video's gone and the .STL files are gone. WTF?!

Fixed the video link. Sorry about that. The STL files are definitely still there though. Maybe Thingiverse was having some issues??

This is just too cool man.

Agreed haha. Everyone needs one of these in their life. People's minds are blown every time you drive next to them uphill at night with your LED strips on haha.
