This is the spinning top totem from the movie Inception.

I have uploaded two top sizes. The larger is approximately 60mm high and the smaller is approximately 40mm high. Both tops spin very well. The larger one may spin a little bit longer because it has more mass. I printed these with 25% fill, 0.24 layer height, No extra shells, with Support (Min angle 60 deg, No Cross hatch).

This is sweet. Thanks. I'm gonna split it in half, edit a void for a nut, and then pause the print when the printer is about to close up.. throw the nut in there and close it up.. I'll give credit and post it when its done and tested.. Thanks again!!

Hey, just letting you know that someone copied your front photo and file and posted them as if it is theirs:

Thanks for the heads up on that. I reported it to thingiverse and wrote him a note.

I've been looking for this!

Printer: CTC Bizer (Replicator 1 Dual)

20 minutes to print
Raft (no support)

All the rest, left it the same as the suggestions.

Smooth and spins for almost a minute. Definitely does that 45 second spin. First thing we print with our CTC.

i made this and the tip that it spins on melted and fell off :(

any tips ?

I had some trouble, and now I'm stuck in my dreams forever...

wow an 18mb stl file? xD must be high resolution on those curves :P

How long can it spin for?

It should spin about 45 seconds

Isn't working well— the first few layers don't stick… trying raft.

Support didn't work well for me, so I sliced it in to two parts, and glued together. They're here if you want them:

Works really well, thanks :)

I think I'm going to take your idea and create a void for a big old stainless steel nut to fit inside to add weight.. That or pause the print halfway through and drop one in

Had a little trouble getting it off the print bed but it came out great.

Excellent, printing this now.
