G'z that thing must weigh a ton... thats a lot of plastic.. and one crash and it's back to the printer...lol should just buy the carbon fiber arms and print the rest...:) just Saiyan...

For my printer I didn't print the arms, they should be carbon or aluminum. The model is a layout for the arms that should be made out of another material.

How about arms weight?

In case anyone wants to print this on a standard 200x200mm print surface I have uploaded a scaled down version that just barely fits.

If anyone has any questions about anything about the copter or how it was made shoot me a message or an email at flightfixit@gmail.com.

I am wondering what the scale is on this? I have a 260mm bed and the booms do not fit :( I have a DJI Naza original frame and I would love to print another one. Also, is there anyway you can put up a DeadCat without the GoPro mount please.

Thanks and I look forward to printing this very soon! I am building another printer today with an Azteeg X5 so maybe I will have better luck with that over the Delta style Ramps powered printer I have currently.

they are 13 inches long, 330mm long, I printed them on my machine which has a 350mm widex 280 deep x 900mm tall. That copter was massive when i was printing it for him.

I dont see why nto Truss, Also, My printer is famous now.. lol thats my new rig that printed that part. I am about to start printing it all now. That was a test piece at 10% infill. While that is fine for me, i will be printing FlightFixits at 50% for added strength since he cannot readily print another part. If you have the capabilities of printing your own, i would recommend 10 to 25% to keep it very light as to 50% weight which will be ~900 grams.

Can i get in on this? I have built about 15 Multi's and looking for a new project. (Just finished a 950mm Hexa with PixHawk) Let me know if I can buy a set or contribute in some way with the electronics side of things? Cheers!

PM me, I am sure we can work something out. FYI, i am a computer engineer, so i can help out with electronics as well :) but id be willing to do some trade work for the parts, I have never made a copter before, only RC Cars.

I will definitely take you up on your offer! thanks so much for offering your 3d printer!

Hey, I am working on my 3rd printer riight now , I wouldnt mind printing it for you. I have a prusa i2, MendelMax Large scale version(being made right now) and a Makerbot Replicator at work. I am looking for a drone design to mess with with an ArduPilot. Message me back if you still wanted it printed.
