Hi Martin,
I now see the little metal inserts are for attaching the belt tensioners, but why not just make the belt tensioners part of the component? This would save messing around with extra hardware.
Cheers

Hi there. Thanks for the updated design! Busy printing/building my own MPCNC now.

May I ask though what the purpose of the "MIRROR" files/parts are?. Ins't your block a universal "4 corner" block?

The other thing.... The pipe part (like the foot) that bolts on to the bottom of the block, how is it attached? There are nut holes provided in the "foot", so do you have a long nut that comes through right from the top? Or am I missing something? (The bigger bottom part of the block doesnt seem to have counter sink holes to attach the foot toot)

Thanks!

Hello, there are mirror parts because of the "tensioner holes". Notice that these holes are not centered.

It was first intended to be tightened by four M4x80 screws, but I couldn't find them here. You can still do it, just don't insert the M4 nuts in the blocks, only in the corner foot.

525 MPCNC (IE/US/1") - Belt Tensioner + Corner Block

Dear Tincho85,

Thanks so much for the reply.

As My first top "block" neared completion and I looked at it, it dawned on me. Doh! The holes HAS to be on the other side, hence the Mirror files LOL!!!

In reference to https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1458421 .... I live in South Africa, so here we get the 25.4mm Stainless Steel. Would you say that http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1458421 is the most up to date version? (As you mentioned there are fitting/assembly instructions.

Thanks once again,
Regards,

525 MPCNC (IE/US/1") - Belt Tensioner + Corner Block

It happens :P
To be honest, before sharing this design, I actually printed the 4 of them. When I tried to assemble everything, it hit me...

The tensioner systems fits all three corner blocks variants:
IE (F-25mm OD) Corner Block: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1459025
US (C-23.5mm OD) Corner Block: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1459158
1" (J-25.4mm OD) Corner Block: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2385574

525 MPCNC (IE F-25mm OD) - Corner Block
525 MPCNC (US C-23.5mm OD) - Corner Block
525 MPCNC (1" J-25.4mm OD) - Corner Block

How is the main corner block holding the tubing? From what I can see in the files the block is solid with no way of apply a clamping effect on the tubing. The slit shown in the main page preview picture is not in the STLs or the STEP.

holy sh... You are right, fixing it right away. Thanks for the heads up.

Thank you very much for making this file easy to find... I am planning to order some 1" OD stainless tubing for the MPCNC build and love your corner block design. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
Greg

Thanks for the kind words. I hope it works as good as it does for me.
