Calibrate the dimensional accuracy of your printer by printing and measuring a known object, then updating DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT in your firmware.

turns out, the given formula doesn't work for cartesian printers (XYZ-axis).
- Cartesian printer (XYZ-axis)
- Calipers (preferably digital)
- Ability to modify & upload printer firmware (Marlin, others not tested yet)
