Hi these fittings
http://e3d-online.com/Mechanical/Bowden/Embedded-Bowden-Couplings-For-Metal-1.75mm-Filament

With regards to the shaft shortening, If you put a mount in between the extruder assembly and the motor then you might get away with not doing it, the only reason I haven't made a bigger one is because this is supposed to be compact but it's not big deal making a slightly bigger one in addition.

I've added the longer body. :)

Thanks! :-) Hoping your design will allow me to continue using my MK8. It's not very good as is.

Which pneumatic fittings at e3d?

The motor shaft MUST be shortened or it's optional to do that?

Anyway you can export to a different format, don't have solid works... Or maybe you can modify it to use a normal M8 hobbed bolt with 608 bearings instead of the 605s currently?

This would require a complete redesign, I'll see what format I can export to, what would be good for you?

Sorry for the late response. Can you export to a step file? I was also looking into involute differential gearing. This could be useful for this design.

I've just moved house so won't be able to get these uploaded until the end of the week. Will do it then though.

Can
you please supply the following files so the assembly will load correctly?

“bevel gear test.sldprt”
“bevel gear test1.sldprt”
“NEMA17 Motor.sldprt”
“MK8 drive gear model.SLDPRT”

Thank you GeckospotNixie

Woops! must have missed that one, it's there now. :)

Can you please publish solid works file for idler?
