This is a remix of two popular power supply covers for reprap printers (Anet A8 and a Sells Mendal).
I made a short video about this upgrade you can find here:
UPDATE: I added a version without my name recess on the right side of the print.
I have modified the two of these covers to work with the Anet A8 vertical mounting position allowing for an upgrade to the eTopxizu 30amp power supply. I have moved the rear most hole forward a few mm to align the screws slightly better. I have also increased the width of the front plate compared to what is pictured, the front plate area now extends beneath the right most part of the socket.
The hole for the socket should fit the IEC320 C14 or a socket of similar design, there are many of them out on the inter-webs. The power supply will need a conversion bracket to be secured to the Anet A8 frame, this bracket was designed by Wotever and can be found here:
The bracket will move the power supply away from the frame and allow the cover to wrap around the back side of the case.
I would like to thank thingiverse users rullmann and Puddlefist for their original designs. Without their original hard work I would have had a much harder time designing this. If they see this and would like their logos included with mine, please send me a message.
Please let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns! Go lay down some layers!
You can go higher resolution (0.20 mm) for a better print but .030 mm worked for me. I did line supports at 6% in Cura. I also printed at 205 c and 60 c for the hotbed using off brand PLA (ebay). I use rafts because I have a hard time getting first layer adhesion on my BuildTak but if you get first layer I doubt you need rafts. I think I printed at 38 mm/s, 1.2 walls at 0.9 mm first layer. Turned out better than I expected, fit first try no finishing required.
