I wanted to play around with some post-processing techniques and epoxy-smooth a fidget spinner. I created this model with a very lightly attached shield to keep the epoxy out of the bearing holes.
Print two copies. Insert a very short stub (< 3.5mm) of 1.75mm diameter filament in each of the registration holes to act as alignment pins. Glue halves together. Butter up with XTC-3D or similar epoxy, using multiple very thin coats. Do not use heat to speed up cure time as that will shrink the hole dimensions. Remove shields, including internal support rings, from bearing holes. Sand to desired finish.
