I am a big fan of all of your lego-compatible robotics blocks. I've recently learned that my old Mindstorms kit is no longer supported by current-generation operating systems. I tried a 32-bit virtual machine and had no luck communicating with the hardware. I have a 7-year-old who is a master of Lego blocks but neither he nor I do well building in the purely Tecnhix blocks of the current generation Mindsorms. So my old-school RCX brick won't work, and the new-generation is a pain. I did what any hacker-dad should and made it a fun project for both of us.

Your tools were the perfect mix of arduino and traditional lego block. Thanks for all of the various parts! We're having fun!

My one addition to the ecosystem is a block with a toggle switch for power. I remixed your calibration block so that it would link to your work, but I wanted to cross-post and thank you for the inspiration.

Toggle Switch Block for LEGO

Glad to hear it! That's exactly the way I had hoped these would be used. (My little girl is a bit young to enjoy these toys right now, other than chewing on them!) I'm adding a big set to the collection soon, an opensource sumo robot with Lego compatible add-ons. I haven't put the files or promotional stuff out there yet but you can get a preview here: https://engineerdog-webstore.fwscart.com/SimpleSumo_Standard_Kit/p4970409_17776109.aspx
