I found this beautiful high resolution scan of the head of Venus de Milo at http://www.deskproto.com/support-videos/videos-venus.php and was quite surprised that it hadn't found its way onto Thingiverse yet.

Their website does state that the STL file may not be offered for downloading (thanks to TheRuttMeister for pointing this out) so I have removed my derivative file and recommend that you go to their site and download it directly from them or use this link http://www.deskproto.com/files/venus-stl.zip

Don't download the dummy file from here. Instead go and get the original from the DeskProto site.
Resize the STL file using a program like NetFabb or Blender and slice the bottom off to give it a flat base.

"was quite surprised that it hadn't found its way onto Thingiverse yet."

Well, I took a look at the website where you found the file.... I think the reason you haven't seen it posted before is that the website says quite clearly "They may NOT be sold or offered for downloading."

Plus attribution should not be to you... it could be to Minolta USA (who created the file
you started with) or the Lovre (who own the original) or maybe the original artist Alexandros of Antioch (but I don't think he has a Thingiverse account).

Very good point. I looked on the download page but I didn't search far enough to see whether sharing was permitted. :-[

I have removed my derivative file and left a poly-reduced place-holder because I think the original is definitely worth publicising.
