I wanted to use the X-Idlers by Leo_N; https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1919544 So, naturally I had to install new bearings or reuse the old ones. He suggested centering them in the idlers; and included a tool to do this in his files. I later found using it to be problematic in several ways. So, I whipped up this little hellcat.
PLONK can install and center LM8LUU bearings by design, but should work with most 9x24/45 bearings regardless of material. The text while quirky, also serves as a gripping surface. PLONK wont damage bearing housings and install/centering is quick and easy. I suggest at least 8 shells and 100% infill when printing. If so, PLONK will be a staple in your printers' tool kit for a long time. I will design an add-on for this to remove bearings as well, and update when possible. Thanks to Leo_N for his great designs and community support! Happy PLONKING!
Use: Center PLONK in the bearing using the centering rod. Hammer the bearing till flush with the parts' top, or until top handle is flush with idler top to center bearing in Idlers.
