This is a great mount, very well thought out.

thx jrcarlyle! I hope you enjoy! I've been flying with this mount for about 8 months without any issue :)

I planned on printing this as my Runcam 3 case, but decided against it after reading that the carbon plate between the arms is actually rather important for the structural integrity of the camera cage.
You may want to add to the description that this should only be used by pilots who never crash, ever! ;-)

That's why we place 20mm stand-offs joining the camera cage parts... I've been using and crashing these camera mounts with no problems at all...

Where did you get the stand-offs? I'm assuming you needed longer screws also. Please let me know where you got these. Thank you.

hi man, can i ask you for a favor?

can you do another version of this mount, but with more gopro lens cover? like here for example - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2401332

RMRC Awk210 Cricket Pro GoPro Session Mount -30 Degree Tilt

I would have to change the way the camera is inserted into the mount. These lens cover (that, imho, do not protect anything) are usually applied in designs where the camera is inserted from the sides OR from the back. The easiest way to modify this design to make with a lens cover would be opening the back of the mount so as the camera can be inserted from there, however, it makes the back of the camera exposed and any crash would make the battery hit the camera (I know it from experience since the back of my camera is severely damaged due to batteries impacts). In other words, it's possible and I'll try something, however, I'm still doubtful regarding the efficiency of these lens cover...

Question: why do you want the lens cover? Protection? Hold the camera more firmly into the mount? To control the amount of light?

didnt try this yet, because I dont have a printer. some guy from other town will print anything for me. i'm looking for the "right design" wich will cover my camera the best) liked yours, but I think the cam lens didnt have any protection...

what do you think about to add something like this - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1781605

Realacc x210/Lumenier QAV-X gopro session mount

my very first version of this mount had these petals like lens hood. They don't add much protection... just for frontal impacts over flat surfaces and are more suitable to control the amount of light hits the lens. They're very simple to model. I'll add them and upload a new version

Did you use support s

yep! Take a look in the printscreen of my Cura settings.
