Nice project for advanced makers, who have fishes nearby the soldering iron :-)
You need an arduino nano, a Wemos D1 mini (ESP8266), 4 buttons, a temperature sensor (
DS18B20), 3 Rela, a Neopixel like RGB-stripe, a frame, plexi-glas for the case.
This project offers:
- Control LED-Light (Plants)
- Coloured RGB-LEDs (Fore- & Background)
- Pump Control
- Temperature and alerting
- Automatic Feeding
- Minimizing cables around the aquarium
- time planing for each feature
- Control with webserver für PC and smartphone
A video ist better than 1000 words:
I have divided the frame into two parts so i could print it on my Wanhao 5s mini.
If you have a printer with less building room, you have to divide it into more parts.
The printfiles with the round pads can be used to connect aluminum rods between them. They can be glued into aquarium's cover. Then you can bind the RGS stripes with cable ties into the cover.

Have fun and greetings to the fishes, Nunz
Update: I have added an optional cooler, which can be easily connected to the USB-Ports which are integrated in the frame of this project:
