This is great! I've been stuck calibrating, and with this target (I'm printing it 3x more to make sure) I see I have problems on the 'south' side of the bed. So needless I'm going to try printing on the top right and see if I get an improvement.

If your bed lets you adjust on the fly, you can sometimes eyeball it while it is printing. That works best for the beds that have threaded holes. If you have to grab the nut with a pair of pliers, you probably can't do it while printing. Try printing slower than usual if you want to give that a shot.

You should post this in the "Calibration" group

The way I use it is I watch it print. You can tell if it is squashed or loose. I put the box on because sometimes I will lift it whole (need more than one layer) I sometimes want to put it back in the right position to remember what quadrant was squashed. Works for me.

Won't this just deform as you remove it from the bed, thereby distorting the print and ruining any results you may find?

no. you're looking at the thickness of the printed beams I believe
